Ella Korth
Ella Korth is a driving guitar and banjo player, and emotive singer-songwriter. Ella grew up in Nelson, BC in a musical family and after graduating highschool spent time in the Winnipeg music scene, touring as a side musician with Juno nominated songwriter Leith Ross across the UK, Europe, the US and Canada, with Madeleine Roger and Trent Freeman from The Fretless, and filling in on electric guitar in Boy Golden among others.
Ella then found her way to Nashville, TN where she now tours on guitar and banjo in The John Hartford Fiddle Tune Project, and with fiddle player and songwriter Philip Bowen. With the Ella Korth band, Ella has played a number of bluegrass festivals, including The Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival (Yukon), the Cowichan Valley Bluegrass and Nimblefingers Festivals, and Seaside Festival (BC), Harvest Moon (MB), and opened for Mama’s Broke.
