Renowned Métis roots, blues, country, and Rock n’ Roll singer and songwriter, Patrick Alexandre, honed his musical craft amidst the vibrant and competitive music landscape of Winnipeg’s eclectic arts scene. Emerging as a powerhouse singer and double bass thumper, he embarked on a journey that saw him fronting the Dixie-billy ensemble, The F-holes, and lending his skills as an upright bassist to Canadian blues luminary, Little Miss Higgins.
Collaborating with the F-holes and Higgins, Alexandre co-produced the critically acclaimed Bison Ranch Recording Sessions, a live-off-the-floor endeavor recorded in the rustic confines of the barn built by Patrick’s grandfather, earning a prestigious Juno nomination for its authenticity and artistry.

Transitioning into a solo career, Alexandre has released two lauded albums, “Strange New World” and “In The Blood,” showcasing his versatility and depth as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

In addition to his prowess as a performer, Alexandre’s talents extend to the realm of engineering and producing records. He possesses a keen eye and ear for selecting unconventional yet acoustically superior locales, including barns, dance halls, and churches, to craft albums that resonate with warmth and authenticity. Noteworthy collaborations include projects with esteemed artists such as Chicken-Like Birds, Kevin Peters, High as Mountains, and Dwayne Dueck, among others.

Patrick Alexandre’s latest project delves into the rich tapestry of his Métis heritage, offering a poignant series of stories and songs that illuminate the struggles and triumphs of his ancestors during the Red River Resistance amidst the backdrop of Canada’s confederation.
With a career characterized by authenticity, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the human experience in music, Patrick Alexandre continues to captivate audiences with his dynamic stage presence, carving out a legacy as a stalwart figure in the roots and blues landscape.
