The Arcane Garden is a musical collaboration between Will Chapman and Michella Moss, which began in 2008, when they moved from Vancouver to the Kootenays and built a project studio to begin recording their own music, which has resulted in 3 albums thus far.

The music is a heavily layered hybrid combining ambient and electronic grooves with world music ingredients from distant cultures.

Michelle’s lyrics and songwriting are inspired by her interest in the arcane, and her passion for the sensual world.
Will’s decades of performing, arranging and studio engineering experience provide the technical foundation for their creative union.

The current configuration of the Arcane Garden includes Will Morris PhD, DAOM who is one of the founders of the Kootenay Sound Healing Centre. Will brings an assortment of exotic wind instruments to the project, further expanding the palette toward foreign shores of influence.

Also performing and contributing are Ben Johnson (percussion) a multi-instrumentalist who’s also played on 2 of the band’s albums and Alex Mayer (electric and acoustic guitars).

The Arcane Garden delivers a rich tapestry of deep atmospheric soundscapes, vivid sonic textures, hypnotic grooves, and soulful expression.
